Real Estate Summer Intern
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our growing organization this summer. This program will expose you to commercial property management and you’ll gain hands on experience in our fast-paced real estate firm. You will focus on learning the day-to-day operations of managing a class A office or industrial building, and can expect to gain valuable insight while working with our dynamic onsite property teams.
This is a full-time or, part-time opportunity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare vendor inquiries to provide support for property budget compilation
- Populate budget data into final input sheet
- Organize lease files and contracts by metadata and upload into SharePoint
- Learn to maintain the tenant and vendor certificates of insurance to ensure that all COIs are current. Contact tenant/vendor if COI is expiring or additional insureds are incorrect.
- Audit contracts for accuracy and tracking
- Assist with standardizing the property management module in Angus, a tenant work order system
- Assist the property management team with property-specific maintenance and repair projects
- Perform administrative duties, such as drafting memos, organizing documents, photocopying, and answering phones as needed
- Special projects as requested
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION:
Enrolled full-time and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, Economics or Accounting
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to use other software programs as required
OTHER DESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES (PREFERRED)
- Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities and deadlines, with attention to detail and an ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- High degree of integrity
Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
