Due Diligence Coordinator

 

Description of Duties

  • Abstraction of legal documents, leases and contracts relating to Commercial Real Estate
  • Responsible for underwriting and due diligence on acquisition opportunities, including coordination and oversight of third-party due diligence, closing, and asset/property management transition
  • Experience with reviewing and reading of Alta Surveys, PCA, Phase I, Appraisals, Title and Zoning Reports relating to Commercial Real Estate properties
  • Experience with loan compliance, in particular the calculation of DY, DSCR, YM on a monthly basis
  • Monthly tracking of all loans, preparation of schedules and distribution of reports to both internal and external parties
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of due diligence for acquisitions, dispositions and financings including closings and preparation of closing statements experience
  • Full understanding of property sectors (office, retail, industrial, multifamily) and their different investment characteristics and an ability to see the "big picture" in commercial real estate and capital markets finance transactions 

    Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 5 year experience in commercial real estate
  • Advanced knowledge of Yardi, Argus, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Accounting background with the understanding of accounting report such as IS, BS, TB and Budgets
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
  • Ability to multi-task, work in cross-functional teams, perform under short time frames, perform efficient resource planning, establish and maintain internal and external professional relationships and prioritize workload.
  • Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
