As part of the Asset and Investment Team within the Development and Investment Department, the Senior Business Finance Officer administers economic development and urban renewal financial assistance programs to support Prosper Portland’s economic development strategy and equitable wealth creation goals, all within the context of collaboration, inclusion, creativity and innovation.

This position underwrites loan requests from a variety of businesses – small and large, start-up and established. Under supervision of the Asset and Investment Manager, plans, coordinates and implements economic and community development loan programs according to policy set by the Board of Commissioners. Interfaces with Prosper Portland’s Financial Investment Committee, Legal Counsel, and other departments, on behalf of business loan applicants. Works directly with economic and real estate development department staff to assist businesses access internal and external financial and technical resources. Serves as liaison for the Entrepreneurship and Community and Economic Development staff outreach to the business community.
